Georgians count 5500 years of beekeeping and honey storage. Adjara had favorable climatic agricultural conditions for the development of beekeeping. The locals have preserved such old forms of beekeeping as wild, domestic and semi-domestic beekeeping.
The production of inventory used in beekeeping was connected with the centuries-old knowledge and experience of the people. First of all, It required knowledge of the nature of bees, the natural conditions of the environment and the climate, which were ingrained in the beekeeping inventory.
